Just going to put it out there - I love the new Presets album, which seems to go against the general orthodoxy of people who have lined up to hate on the thing. In my opinion the Presets are just having their 808's & Heartbreak moment by doing something people don't expect them to i.e. by making a record that on its face is not a club thumping dance banger that you can stick pingers up your butt to. Jilted expectations aside there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. Semi-commercial dance music doesn't get much better however this time they've traded in the bass dropping moments of ecstasy for something more consistent and cohesive. DD
