YOJAY CHILLIN
1. Biography
Yojay Chillin is not your stereotypical urban 16 bar rapper dressed in baggy clothes with blinging jewellery. Instead, Yojay has endeavoured to surpass the dreams and aspirations of many on-lookers in order to create a uniquely diversified style. As a result, he is one of Brisbane city's best suburban unsigned hypes.
Musical influences that have inspired Yojay include Michael Jackson, Bob Marley (R.I.P) and his father, Trenchtown Jimmy, who graced the eastern Australian and Pacific island circuit with his reggae music. Whilst reggae has always played a strong role in Yojay's musical development, his real passion remains with hip hop.
After learning life's calling during his tender younger years to make a mark on the world, Yojay later realised that all it would take was the right frame of mind and a few words ... literally.
